#HUNTtheTRUTH Red and Blue Team

If any of you have been following the Halo 5 buzz lately, you’ll most likely notice a few images floating around that look like armor pieces. 343i and Microsoft have been running an ongoing campaign for Halo 5 by emailing pictures to people. Someone recently discovered that these make up into a larger image as a promotional material.

Chief Canuck from Read Up Live! has been compiling these images and the full image is almost complete.

Even though it’s not 100% completed, you can see most of the image already. Here are a few more from the image so you can get a better look.

I’m actually a little bummed about this. I liked how ODST’s campaign was. But it’s certainly not a deal breaker. After all, the previous campaigns with Chief have all been linear.

HCS Cup #1 Cancelled

s2timeline

This may be old news to some, but in case you missed it the most recent HCS Online cup has been postponed. The first online cup for HCS Season 2 was scheduled to occur on Saturday April 25th. However ESL and 343i cancelled the tournament on the Thursday prior due to stability concerns with the most recent MCC patch.

It’s going to be very interesting to see how quickly 343i and Microsoft can fix this issue, that was all but eliminate from the build before it. Most fans, including myself see this patch as a step in the wrong direction. An ongoing issue that only further hinders the community. I understand that 343i’s main focus is H5, however for those fans that are looking to play MCC in the meantime and even after, stability of the build should be the number one priority.

THA Lore Thursdays: Orbital Drop Shock Trooper

“Most of the crew – not to mention your fellow jarheads – will be leaving the ship in lifeboats. They’ll ride to the surface in air conditioned comfort, sipping wine, and nibbling on appetizers. Not you, however. Oh no, you’re going to leave the Pillar of Autumn in a different method. Tell me boys and girls… how will you leave?”

— Major Antonio Silva, aboard UNSC Pillar of Autumn.
“We go feet first, sir!”

— Shock Trooper’s response.

The Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST) are a special operations capable organization of the UNSC Marine Corps that specialize in orbital-dropped shock infantry and special warfare tactics. The ODSTs are one of the primary Special Operations units of the United Nations Space Command, and is under the supervision of Naval Special Warfare Command.

This is a reblog from HaloWaypoint.com

The next time you log into Halo: The Master Chief Collection, you will be prompted to download the latest content update, which focuses on ranking, matchmaking penalties, stability, as well as game-specific improvements for each title.

Below, you’ll find a summary of what is included in today’s update:

RANKING

  • Made a variety of improvements to ranking consistency and penalties.
  • Resolved an issue that could cause a player to rank down excessively, such as dropping multiple levels after a loss.
  • Resolved an issue that caused a player’s rank to appear incorrectly.

Based on these improvements and updates, we’ll be resetting ranking for Halo 2: Anniversary, and separately, will begin to roll out ranks to additional playlists soon (we’re aiming for the next day or so), starting with the addition of ranking to the Team Slayer and Halo Championship Series playlists. We’ll be actively monitoring the ranking system across these playlists over the next few days to ensure that everything is working properly before adding ranks to additional playlists.
