E3 a Conference of HD Remakes?

According to a GameFAQ thread, an unknown E3 insider has listed the following games that will be announced as HD remakes. The poster states to take this with a grain of salt (as with all leaks these days), but his insider has a good track record thus far. Here is the whole list.

Kingdom Hearts HD Remix 2.5 (PS3)
Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox One, PS4, PC)
Call of Duty Modern Warfare Collection (PS4, Xbox One)
Crysis Remastered (PS4, Xbox One)
Metro Redux (PS4, Xbox One)
Batman Arkham Trilogy (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Mass Effect Trilogy (PS4, Xbox One)
Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition (Xbox One, PS4)
Dragon Age (PS4, Xbox One)
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Plus (PS4, Xbox One)
Ultra Street Fighter IV (PS4)
The Last of Us Remastered (PS4)
God of War 3 Remastered (PS4)
Uncharted Collection Remastered (PS4)
Halo 2 Anniversary (Xbox One)
Gears of War Trilogy (Xbox One)
Super Mario Sunshine HD (Wii U)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U)
Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire (3DS)

Interesting to note that there are a TON of HD remakes slated for the upcoming year. However again, this list isn’t confirmed. If this is the case it leads myself to believe that most studios are taking their time and working on something huge for 2015. To me this mindset is refreshing. Instead of rushing to beat the competition, why not take your time and release a great game?

Xbox One Controller Support for PC and a Halo 2 Anniversary hint?

Today Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson of Xbox tweeted out the following article on his blog. The article portrays a Surface tablet with an Xbox One controller plugged in and on the Halo 2 Menu screen.

Now to most people this is just the Halo 2 for PC on the surface right? Currently Halo 2 Vista is compatible for Windows 8.1 according to Microsoft. However Major Nelson goes on to say the following:

“We look forward to sharing more about the amazing lineup of games coming to Xbox during our Xbox E3 2014 Media Briefing, Xbox: Game On, which will take place Monday, June 9 beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET / 9:30 a.m. PDT.”

Not much more than a shameless plug for the Microsoft E3 presentation, however, it’s very strange out of all the games for Windows currently available that they would choose Halo 2. Am I reading into this too much? Most likely, but it could be a tease to a bigger reveal at E3. Time will only tell if we get our grubby hands on Halo 2 Anniversay this year.

Sweet Succulent Nuggets of Speculation!

Some of you may or may have not seen this, but I figured I would bring it to your attention. Yesterday Bonnie Ross (@PlutonForEver) tweeted the following picture.

Pretty normal day at the 343i office right? Look a little closer to Neighbor; second to the last guy. Does that look like something familiar?

So the 343i staff is playing an internal tournament and this is the “Gold tier finals”, on the Xbox One. It was not mentioned what game they were playing, but they didn’t mention any current gen titles in the tweet. This leads most of us to believe that this was a testing session for the next Halo game. The way the picture was taken leads me to believe that this is a project not yet released.

Does this mean we might see a alpha or a beta program rolling out soon? I for one sure hope so. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
